Aberdeen City School Nurse Service during Covid

Schools maybe closed but the School Nurses in Aberdeen City are still here to support Children and their Families.

We have been working and adapting to the changing times that we are all experiencing to maintain the service and offer support to School Age Children.

Each school in Aberdeen City has an assigned School Nurse who can be reached via contacting your teacher/guidance teacher or by emailing nhsg.schoolnursing@nhs.net. Please state your or your child’s name, address, date of birth, school and how best to contact you via  telephone or email with the preferred number and or email address so that we can get back to you.

We will respond via email and or mobile telephone contact initially when you can discuss what you feel you need help with. All School Nurses in Aberdeen are now able to access and use the Near Me virtual waiting room.This development means that school nurses can offer confidential appointments for children and or their families by virtual face to face consultation.

The Aberdeen City School Nurse Team are here to support with mental and emotional health and wellbeing, health promotion, advice,and sign posting to other services and agencies.
