On Friday the 4th of October all of our S2 year group took part in a challenge set up by Belfour Beatty during Period 5 & 6. The challenge was to construct the tallest tower to hold a golf ball at the top in 20 minutes in groups of five. This was lead by John Cairns of Balfour Beatty.
The towers were constructed out of K’Nex and marked in three areas:
- Teamwork
- Height of tower
- Design of tower
There were some interesting designs and teams worked very well together but at the end of each period we had to choose a winning team. The winning teams will now form one team of ten to go forward and represent AGS at the upcoming Build your Future event taking place on Thursday 14th November at Stewart Milne Group, Westhill.
