Scottish Apprenticeship Week – Scotland’s Biggest Parents’ Evening
There’s never been a better time for young people to consider an apprenticeship. Currently over 37,000 people are working as an apprentice across Scotland in a variety of different sectors.
As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2019, DYW North East invite parents and carers to Scotland’s Biggest Parents’ Evening to highlight the value that apprenticeships and work-based learning can bring to individuals.
What is an apprenticeship?
By combining working and learning, an apprenticeship means your child gets the skills, experience and qualifications that help develop their career.
Foundation Apprenticeships – a taste of an apprenticeship while still at school
Modern Apprenticeships – get a job, get paid, get qualified
Graduate Apprenticeships – a new way to work, learn and earn and get a degree
