The following pupils took part in the Scottish Contractors Group (SCG) skills event. Morgan Sindall invited local school students (S3-6) from Aberdeen and the surrounding area to an interactive skills event.

The event commenced with a brief presentations on the construction industry and the widely varying roles within it. They also took part in a virtual ‘fly-through’ of the new Marischal Square development, interactive construction-based activities, including use of Virtual Reality goggles, as well as a tour around the live site.

Alongside Morgan Sindall, there was representatives from other SCG members as well as Skills Development Scotland, Construction Industry Training Board and the Scottish Council for Development and Industry. Students had the opportunity to speak to these representatives as well as trainees, apprentices, graduates and senior managers in roles such as Engineering, Design, Architecture, and Technology
